Biological Background: none at all!
Biomaths Experience: I am working with academics in physical, life and social sciences at Brunel and elsewhere to develop mathematical/statistical/numeracy questions for a CAA package called maths e.g. see the student interface   or staff can sign up (free!)  to set up their own tests by ‘shopping’ for what they want from the extensive question database. The maths e.g. database spans GCSE to level 1 university, with good coverage of maths and stats at A level. All questions incorporate random parameters, resulting in thousands or millions of realisations at runtime, each with full feedback and links to other resources. Although we plan biomaths-specific questions, much of the algebra and statistics sections will be widely useful already and you may find the Calculations for Health Professionals also of interest. Further questions will be published annually and I welcome collaboration.
